We are in the midst of a worldwide recession. Daily, we hear of layoffs, cutbacks, foreclosures, and more. We, as a church family, are not unaffected. There are many within our own body that have been struck by this financial turmoil.
In the gospels, Jesus commands us to love each other just as He has loved us—with sacrificial love. In the book of Acts, we find that early believers were very active in meeting the needs of fellow Christians. Those that had the ability gave of their surplus to those who had needs.
Here at FBC, we commit to following the Acts example. If you know of a need within our church family or you would like to contribute to help those currently struggling, contact Mark Sue at mark@fbcbend.org or 382-3862.
